Come to this talk to hear librarians from Boston’s law firms, state and federal courts, and U.S. government offices who will discuss what new summer associates, attorneys, and interns are expected to know about research. This program is not to be missed, whether you are going to a firm, internship, or even a small practice!
- When will you be able to use LexisNexis and Westlaw?
- What research techniques should you brush up on, in order to save your time and your employer’s money?
- How can you best prepare yourself for that important summer job or internship?

Hello. This Friday March 21 at 10 am and again at 1 pm, library staff will be conducting a brief 1/2 hour class on finding legal materials on the internet for free. This will be a good place to learn how to use what the internet offers efficiently. The class will be in room 334. Open to all JD students.

According to a press release yesterday from the American Bar Association, “total enrollment by students seeking the [J.D.] increased only slightly during 2007-08, while enrollment of first-year students was nearly flat, compared to the previous year.” The release points to the statistics site maintained by the ABA’s Section for Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar, detailing first year and total J.D. enrollment and degrees awarded, broken down by race, gender, and ethnic group, among other measures.
