The Pappas Law Library staff at the Boston University School of Law looks forward to seeing you on Friday, November 7 for
Employment Law in the 21st Century: The Impact of Technology on the Workplace
We have a terrific program planned, which one member’s institution found impressive for the “caliber of the speakers and by the great value for the fee.” Take a look at our updated preliminary meeting program now listing all speakers. Visit other pages on this site for information on restaurants and attractions for those of you arriving the night before our meeting.
For those who haven’t yet registered, we still have space for a few more. Note: the registration deadline has been extended. If you need parking, the new deadline is Friday, October 24. If you will not need parking, the new deadline is Friday, October 31.
If you need accommodations, the Courtyard by Marriott still has availability at the conference rate. You will need to make your reservation by phone at 617-734-1393 and tell them this is for the Law Librarians of New England meeting at Boston University.

On behalf of the staff of the Pappas Law Library at Boston University School of Law, welcome to the conference site for Employment Law in the 21st Century: The Impact of Technology on the Workplace:
With the introduction of new technology into the workplace, new areas of legal uncertainty have also arisen. What kind of information are employers considering in their employment decisions? Does your FaceBook site contain too much information? Should and can employers monitor or control computer use inside and even outside the office? Could your e-mail get your employer in trouble? How are employers handling the personal information of their employees? All of these questions have important legal dimensions. Many of these questions are only now beginning to be addressed through regulation and litigation. This program will address how employers and the legal community contend with the dynamic environment created by technological change.
Online registration for the program is now open. A conference mailing has been sent to all LLNE members. In the meantime, you are welcome to peruse the Preliminary Program and Accommodations information. Other pages with local attractions, speaker biographies, and more will be added in the coming weeks.
We look forward to seeing LLNE members, speakers and sponsors in Boston!
